Park on firm, level ground with the bucket lowered, apply the parking brake and chock the wheels. Keep tyres out of standing water and off direct sun for long periods, and grease the working equipment on the interval in the manual.
Check engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil and filters on schedule, and run the machine periodically rather than leaving it idle for months. Battery isolation and a cover reduce the two most common storage failures.
